Ireland’s most prominent art and sculpture affair, “Art and Soul,” returns to Hastings Hotels’ prestigious five-star Culloden Estate & Spa in Northern Ireland this summer. Renowned art dealership Gormleys presents the internationally acclaimed bi-annual event from 19th August to 10th September 2023.
Showcasing an astonishing collection of artworks worth an estimated €7 million, the event will feature masterpieces by celebrated artists such as Andy Warhol, Keith Haring, Robert Indiana, Damien Hirst, Salvador Dali, and Banksy, amongst others, both from the international and Irish art scenes.
This edition of “Art and Soul” marks the ninth grand art and sculpture extravaganza meticulously orchestrated by Gormleys. It will be the fourth time that this prestigious event has graced the resplendent grounds of the Culloden, a testament to the seamless collaboration between Gormleys and the hotel.
This highly anticipated event will be a true celebration of artistic brilliance, boasting an unparalleled outdoor sculpture exhibition, presenting a captivating display of 80 large sculptures and installations thoughtfully placed across the expansive 12 acres of exquisitely landscaped grounds that lead to the enchanting shores of Belfast Lough. A spectacular assembly of over 280 artworks, the fair will seamlessly blend the creativity of globally renowned artists with the exceptional talents of esteemed Irish sculptors like Patrick O’Reilly, Ian Pollock, Bob Quinn, Sandra Bell, Eamonn Ceannt, John Fitzgerald, Anthony Scott, and Orla De Brí.
Inside the opulent confines of the Culloden Estate & Spa, guests will be mesmerised by the enchanting sight of 100 artworks created by some of the world’s most eminent artists. Enthusiasts and connoisseurs alike will be enthralled by a richly curated program of artists’ talks and daily guided tours, adding an educational and interactive element to this illustrious event.
Moreover, “Art and Soul” will also feature awe-inspiring exhibitions by acclaimed Irish artists, namely Martin Mooney, Maser, Peter Monaghan, Gordon Harris, and Stephen Forbes. All the exquisite artworks on display will be available for purchase, with prices ranging from €1,000 up to €450,000, catering to a diverse range of art enthusiasts and collectors.

“Building on the astounding success of our previous events, we are absolutely delighted to return to the Culloden, where the journey of ‘Art and Soul’ first began,” Oliver Gormley of Gormleys said. “This fair provides art aficionados a unique opportunity to revel in the breathtaking artistry within the picturesque embrace of this majestic estate. The event promises to captivate both adults and children alike, just as our prior exhibitions at Russborough and the Castlemartyr Resort enthralled over 10,000 visitors.”
To make the occasion even more memorable, guests are cordially invited to experience the delightful “Fancies with Fine Art” afternoon tea, artfully curated and themed for the event. Also taking place within the hotel’s grounds this summer is a Bollinger Champagne Garden pop-up, further elevating the hotel’s outdoor experiences, and offering guests the ultimate convivial alfresco experience.
Furthermore, attendees can indulge in the exquisite “Fine Dining with Fine Art” package, an extraordinary gastronomic delight, which combines a luxurious tasting menu set amidst the inspiring ambience of original Warhol prints, a Champagne reception, an exclusive guided tour of the fair, and an engaging talk with the esteemed Oliver Gormley himself, offering unique insights into the art collection.
Art and Soul is open from Saturday 19th August to Sunday 10th September 2023 daily from 11am to 7pm.
